LETTER: Unattended to leaves and branches angers resident

ALBERTSKROON – Resident wants to know why the City hasn't cleared its mess.

Albertskroon resident Thomas O’Connor writes:

Three weeks ago (last week of June) we had the Johannesburg City Council pruning the trees on our pavements in Second Street, Albertskroon.

To date they have picked up very little of the branches, in fact a few residents out of desperation have taken the branches to the dump. Other people are now adding to the pile. This service is disgusting and unacceptable. In fact I believe we are worse off now under the Democratic Alliance administration than we were under the African National Congress.

It seems our city fathers and our councillors no longer care about residents.

How long will it be before they tidy up all the mess they created?
