Our pre-paid electricity meter was stolen on Friday.

What a shock.

We were left in the dark due to this senseless crime.

My husband called City Power that very evening and his call was answered – not by a robot voice – but by a real person.

Due to the bad publicity that City Power always gets we did not think that the problem would be resolved any time soon.

But to our surprise they came to our rescue the very next morning – a Saturday – and restored our electricity supply.

Thank you to Phume and Peter – the efficient staff members of City Power – great job.

The next step will be to find a way to prevent this happening again.

If your meter is on your pavement be aware that this sort of crime is doing the rounds at the moment.
