I was recently ripped off by local car mechanics in Greymont. I picked the car up only to find out the real extent of the damage done on my car: the airbag was damaged and filled with toilet paper, the car phone was damaged in totality, the power steering was not working and when I took the car back a few days later it took two months again to replace the power steering pump. I did a report and the steering rack was not replaced as what I paid for.

I would advise consumers to make sure when they receive the car to make absolutely certain that all is in order as I found out days later what was wrong with my car. Check that the radio works, the hooter works and also the warning lamps on the instrument cluster. Better yet, if you see a fault that was not there before, do not part with your money until you clarify a solution on how to fix the matter.

When doing business with a small enterprise, if something goes wrong there will be little, if no assistance. In my case the mechanic is literally running away from the law. Only use the services on offer if you have word of mouth confirmation the services are indeed what they do and that they do it competently. In addition, request that the business is registered and has all insurance in place and request a copy. Better yet confirm with the insurer that the insurance is in place.
