It seems that every single street corner in Auckland Park is a potential accident zone. Driving down Cookham Road during rush hour is so dangerous due to drivers ignoring stop signs that one is forced to slow down at nearly every intersection. The stop sign at Surbiton Avenue and Cookham Road has become a yield sign at best or a turn at speed onto the wrong side of the road at worst. The Mini Cooper car crash is only one in a long line of accidents resulting from ignoring stop signs.
If only JMPD would investigate… they could make a fortune in fines in this suburb alone.
