Great work, councillor Steve Kotzé

GREYMONT – A resident wishes to extend gratitude to Ward 86 councillor Steve Kotze, and to help fix existing problems in Greymont.

V Johnson writes:

Dear Mr Kotzé,

Thank you so much for cleaning up Long Road in Greymont. Your ward is doing a great job!

There are so many of the antique stores that are investing money, and Long Road, Greymont is really looking good and attracting affluent people to the suburb.

I would like to find out what the process is with reference to the bottle store (Overland Liquor Store) on the corner of Long Road and 8th Street (opposite the Shoprite Centre).

There is a lot of loitering and vagrants on Long Road, which is situated around the bottle store. Not only is it an eyesore, but it also has an unsafe feeling.

How do we get the owner of the bottle store to move its entrance to the back so it does not face Long Road. Instead, it should face the One Price store parallel to Long Road.

The bottle store has been there for years, so I don’t think that it should be a problem as they have an ongoing customer base.

I think that this will be a great effort in continuing to keep the street clean and vagrant free.
