Small swim school has a huge heart

We Swim 4 Life fixes and reinstalls the disability hoist for special needs swimmers.

Shandre Bridle, who owns We Swim 4 Life, runs swimming classes and has a passion for making water activities accessible for people who are differently abled.

“I am passionate about assisting people from all walks of life to enjoy swimming safely, and that includes the disabled”

Shandre Bridle’s son test out the newly fixed and reinstalled disability chair at the Linden pool.

The chair hoist, which enables wheelchair-bound people to get in and out of the water safely, had been broken for some time and was not being attended to by the municipality.

Bridle and her husband Brian fixed the device at their own cost, repainted it and reinstalled it. “This is an essential piece of equipment for swimmers with special needs and we are thrilled to have been able to pay for this from our little school.”
