Lee Den Hond is a woman with one amazing story to tell, and everyone should hear it.
At a breakfast gathering at Satori Restaurant in Linden, organised by Byron Thomas Properties, the businesswoman, adventurer and athlete spoke to a spellbound audience as she described her climb of Mount Everest.
It was not only a literal climb to the top of the world, it was symbolic of how grit and sheer determination can change the trajectory of one’s life. Her memoir, What Happens When You Say Yes, is not only a fascinating adventure read but also a blueprint for anyone who needs vicarious courage to follow their dreams and passions.
Den Hond is dynamic for sure, but her humility while motivating others is awe-inspiring. Her motto is ‘Climb your own Everest’, an easy-to-remember but powerful catchphrase to live by.
Her pursuits have also had a tangible impact on the charities she supports with funds raised from the climb helping impoverished child-headed households and more in this county that she loves so much.
