Malatji welcomes second semester

Malatji says that this academic journey has been amazing and tough at the same time but he hopes to achieve his dreams.

Taelo Arnold Malatji writes:

My name is Taelo Arnold Malatji and I am studying Master’s in Mathematics, at Wits University.

This semester I’m looking forward to putting in more effort since I will be required to submit my research paper soon, and I want to make sure it is of the highest quality. I am excited to delve deeper into my studies and explore new concepts that will further enhance my understanding of this field. I am also eager to collaborate with my peers and engage in thought-provoking discussions that will broaden my perspective and contribute to my personal growth as a student.

The first semester was tough because I was not having much time to exercise and play soccer due to pressure and excessive work to do.
It was tough, submitting the work late and I was so disorganised, but I want to change that and put more effort into schoolwork.

Playing soccer or going to the gym helps me cope with schoolwork and maintain a healthy work-life balance. It allows me to release stress and clear my mind, enabling me to focus better on my studies. Additionally, engaging in physical activities boosts my energy levels and enhances my overall well-being, which positively impacts my academic performance.

I would like to encourage my fellow students to welcome this semester with a positive mindset and they should always remember to look after themselves and seek for help if they are not coping. It is important to remember that self-care and seeking help when needed are essential for academic success and overall well-being. By maintaining a positive mindset and taking care of ourselves, we can make the most out of this semester and achieve our goals.
