VOX POP: Explosion at Joburg CBD, residents respond

The underground explosion that occurred on Bree Street in the Joburg CBD left many seriously injured and one dead.

This happened on July 19 and left destruction in its wake.

Northcliff Melville Times asked residents what they would do in such a scenario.

Here is what they had to say…

Jeana Zondani: If there was an explosion, I would flee to a more secure location and not remain there because it is not safe.
William Chwuku: I would stay to help those who might need some help and make sure that everyone is in a safer place.
Sabelo Mahlangu: I would stick around to see what would happen next and also check if people are safe and help those who are injured.
