Serving up 700 sandwiches at Crossroads School

Learners took time out time to prepare these sandwiches that were made for Mandela Day.

Crossroads School learners joined together and made over 700 sandwiches for Mandela Day.

This was achieved thanks to the generous donations from parents. Each sandwich had a special note attached to it made by the younger grades.

A key takeaway was the appreciation that so many children acknowledged teacher Carolyn West, who is also responsible for the Learner Development Committee.

West is said to have been the one who orchestrated the day and included the learners in the actual making and delivering of all the sandwiches.
