Focusing on the beauty of life

The local youth has had his hands on the camera for the past two years and he has no intention of putting it down.

Percy Tatenda writes:

I started photography in 2021 when I was given and opportunity to hold a camera and start shooting for the Brixton Photo Collective. Back in those days, I was not too interested in photography. I took photos so that at the end of the day I would know how to take these pictures while getting to know the people I would take pictures of.

As time went by, I really fell in love with photography and it played a big role in my life because I was an introvert; I was not a guy who talks much to other people. But, with a camera in my hand I had to talk to people so that I could take photos that show the love that is found in people.

Photography inspired me to see the beauty that is found on Earth and the love found within people. I was also inspired by James Puttick, the only photographer that I know who took the time to teach youngster the importance of photography along with the beauty in taking pictures, and how it brings people together.

I am interested in all types of photography as long as it shows the love in people and the art that is found on Earth. Through photography I would really want to explore the world and see all types of art that is found and, most importantly, see the love that is found within people.
