#RandWaterShutdown: Residents share the views about Rand Water`s infrastructure maintenance

On June 11, the scheduled maintenance commenced.

Rand Water implemented planned maintenance of its infrastructure, and due to this, most areas were left without water for several days.

Northcliff Melville Times went to the streets and asked the residents if it is acceptable to not have water for several days. Here is what they said.

Habibat Emakiruru: It is not acceptable because we suffer a lot without water. I am a hairdresser so it is difficult for me to wash people`s hair so the business is slow.
Benny Ndlovu: Not having water for days is frustrating and no one deserves to be in this stage because we use water for many things including flushing toilets.
Mpho Khoza: It is not acceptable at all, at least the government should provide us with enough water tanks to sustain us for the next few days.
