Easter cheer and delicious treats were spread all over Ward 88

Beautifully hand-dyed eggs, chocolate treats and savoury snacks were distributed to the elderly to give them an extra special long weekend.

The Ward 88 Residents Association, Let’s Work and SCP Security spread some cheer this Easter as they delivered delicious treats to the elderly in Ward 88.

Hand-dyed colourful eggs and other treats were gratefully received by the many who enjoyed an unexpected spoil. One venue, Montgomery Haven a retirement village had residents dress up in festive hats and outfits to enjoy a feast laid out for them to mark the occasion.

In total, 80 boxes of marshmallow Easter eggs and 912 hand-dyed and decorated boiled eggs were distributed.

Jabulani Msibi, Sibonelo Dzanibe, Sibusiso Nkosi, Boitumelo Celo, Sizwe Mazibuko and Patricia Maje from Let’s Work dyed the eggs in a rainbow of colours and patterns.
