An Easter Market, hosted by non-profit organisation Faithful Kindness was held at the NG Kerk Fairland recently to raise funds for underprivileged communities around the city.
Adele Van Zyl, the organisation’s founder and co-owner, walked the Northcliff Melville Times around the market and showed the various vendors out on the day. There were about 54, selling goods that ranged from ceramics, stained glass, piñatas, food, jewellery and a whole lot more.
“It is is important that people give back to those less fortunate, with so much poverty in our communities, and with government not doing enough to help those in need. It is often people who step forward and give back,” said Van Zyl. As she sees it, if one does not have an open hand and give to others, how can one expect to be blessed.
Be on the lookout for the next market, called Christmas in July Winter Market that will be hosted at the same venue.
