Ward 88 Residents Association meeting POSTPONED

Members of the team hope to enhance service delivery and improve issues that currently plague the area like illegal dumping, potholes, and by-law infringements.

The newly established Ward 88 Residents Association (RA) will host a public meeting to which residents are invited.

The aim of the group is to be able to tackle issues facing communities within the ward in an effective manner with a group of individuals working together in a coherent way.

Some members of the Ward 88 committee that works with councillor Nicolene Jonker are on the residents association which should go a long way to achieving common goals.

The public meeting will be held online to enable more people to attend with details to be shared closer to the time.

The meeting will be held on April 18 at 19:00 online.

Details will be shared in community groups ahead of the event.

The draft agenda will cover the following topics:

1) Potholes
2) Traffic calming measures
3) Enclosure of streets/parts of Northcliff
4) Northcliff Eco Park (water tower)
5) Illegal dumping
6) Milner Avenue wetland
7) Johannesburg Surgical Hospital on Beyers Naude (damage to roads)
8) Illegal events
9) Construction on Sundays and public holidays
10) RA’s relationship with Ward 88 councillor Nicolene Jonker
11) RA membership fees & what they will be used for
12) RA Committee elections
