Situated along Malibongwe Drive, it was a thriving business that had been at this location for 17 years where the owners rented the premises.

Owner Corna Hiddert said, “We are absolutely shocked that this has happened. Last night at about 20:00 we received a call from a neighbouring business saying there was a fire in the bakery.”

The fire department and other roleplayers are on the scene currently as they begin to try to figure out what happened. Hiddert said as far as they could see the blaze did not start in the kitchen. “We think it [the fire] may have begun in the office. It looks like the coffee shop is ok. but obviously, there is structural damage to the building.”
