Vorentoe High School looks forward to the year ahead

The school shares with the paper their triumphs of 2022 as they look forward to what 2023 holds.

If the success of 2022 is anything to go by, then Vorentoe High School is set for another awesome year.

The school’s Sheerad Jacobs said the previous year started strong, with two of their athletes Naledi Makgatha and Johannes Morepe representing South Africa at the Junior Championships in Colombia for cross country.

“In addition, one of our Grade 8 learners, Mohammed Bilal Humza Hussain, represented the school at the district EMS Olympiad and came first among over 270 participants,” he said.

Siyabonga Madonda.

Gymnast Garcele Napier represented the country in the Commonwealth Games in 2022 and Mpumelelo Mathebula joined the provincial debating team.

The school started off the year with a 93.5% pass rate from their Class of 2022 matrics. “Our top three learners Siyabonga Madonda received six distinctions, Mpumelelo Mathebula achieved four distinctions and Shaznay Theron got three.
