ICYMI: A hopeful Merry Christmas wish for ward 86
This is what Ward 86 councillor Chantelle Fourie-Shawe wishes for her community.
It has been a difficult year for many in our communities and although ward councillors do have a magic wand to fix all of our ward issues, we rely on the belief that is working tirelessly to help improve our community.
Ward 86 Councillor Chantelle Fourie-Shawe shared her Christmas message with the community.
Here is what she had to say:
Dear residents of Ward 86, happy holidays, I hope you will be able to spend quality time with your family and friends. As you recharge and get ready for the new year.
I know we all sitting in a situation that feels to some very unprecedented, and it many cases it is. Everything, from the country to our city feels so foreign, when we look at how difficult it is to provide basic services.
One can only hope that the more we understand why things are the way they are, people will actually vote in every election. In fact I hope every single person that can legally cast their vote, will do so and that is my hope.
