A great 2023 ahead for Little Ashford Preschool Linden

The school's principal shares all they accomplished for 2022 as they hope for an even better 2023.

The new year comes with great hope for awesome success stories and great memories.

Reflecting on 2022, Little Ashford Preschool Linden principal Andy Swanepoel talked about what an important year it was for them.

“We can look back on 2022 and say that it was a year of challenges. 2022 has most certainly reminded us of the strength and resilience we all have within us. Although the year had its challenges, there were also many victories, which is what we must take with us heading into 2023.”

She said with a new year comes new hopes, ideas and opportunities. “Let us look to 2023 with a fresh perspective. Work hard to build a bright new year and ensure we keep a positive mindset. Little Ashford would like to wish everyone the strength and determination to achieve their goals and dreams in this coming new year.”

Some of their highlights of 2022 were their assistance of Hot 102.7 and Hot Cares with the educational training and development of the staff of Hlalisekani Playschool. “Not only have we hosted monthly training workshops, but we have also assisted with special events for the school such as this year’s Easter Celebration.”

The school also pledged R60 000 worth of training and development for the staff of Hlalisekani for 2023.

Also this year, the school assisted Nelson Mandela Children’s Hospital with its Children’s Fun Fund Walk held at the Johannesburg Zoo. “It was a day filled with fun and laughter. Little Ashford is proud to have assisted in making the day a great success.”

The preschool was honoured to work with surgeons For Little Lives at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in upgrading their existing waiting area this Mandela Day 2022. Swanepoel explained that surgeons For Little Lives make it possible for sick children and their families to receive the standard of care that matches the standard of skill of their surgeons.

“2022 was an exciting year for Little Ashford. Not only did we see the growth of our children’s potential, and achieve much success within our schools, 2022 also saw us have a greater impact within our communities to make a difference in the lives of those in need.”
She added without the support of their staff, Little Ashford parents and their communities, they could not have achieved all they did in 2022.
