Graffiti tour amazes residents of Montgomery Haven retirement village

Resident Eelco Meyies treated his neighbours to one of his tours which he runs as a thriving local business.

Residents of Montgomery Haven retirement village were treated to a graffiti tour with renowned graffiti fan and fellow resident Eelco Meyies.

Meyies provides regular tours of the local street art scene, which he calls ‘urban safaris’, as clients are driven around the city admiring some of the best artworks which adorn suburban streets.

Denise Lancaster, Nhlanhla Silinda and Susan Schurmann admire graffiti art on their tour.

He has been doing this since 2019 and has helped to change the narrative of the art from vandalism to street art.

The Montogomery Haven minibus was used to take residents on an ‘urban safari’ tour of graffiti artwork in the city.
