Lovers of books and nature conservation gathered at Cresta Shopping Centre’s Exclusive Books recently for the launch of Rhino War.
The event, which included a Q&A with Johan Jooste led by fellow author Tony Parker, offered everything guests wanted.

Rhino War is described as a book that tells of Jooste facing an unprecedented assault on a national park and a single species, turned a force of demoralised men and women into arguably the finest anti-poaching unit on the African continent.

Told through his eyes, the various stories are said to speak of the courage and grit of rangers who risked their lives to protect wildlife in the face of a wily and determined foe are an account of heroism, sacrifice and determination.
