Mosaics light the way

A King David Victory Park learner recently completed a mosaic project that saw her decorate a flight of stairs at the school.

A beautiful mosaic project has just been completed at King David Victory Park High School.

The school’s head of outreach – learner Kira-Lee Mervis – finished the project which began after she had decided to run a mosaicking workshop during arts and culture week.

With a lot of research, she was able to bring her idea to life. The unique design was created by her with input from her mom. She opted to use bright colours, as she believed this would bring light into the school.

The mosaic has bright blue colours among many eye-catching designs.

Now having completed her project, Kira-Lee had this to say, “I am thrilled to share it with the students and teachers and hope it will brighten their day. I am very proud and happy to share my artwork. It was a pleasure working with students to build our mosaic steps at our school.”
