Hoërskool Linden’s boys’ hockey first team closed off the season as Noordvaal hockey champions in the B-division.
This comes after they defeated Tzaneen’s Hoërskool Merensky, 4–2 in the finals at Hoërskool Zwartkop in Pretoria.
By doing so, the team made history by winning all the major titles available to them this season. Earlier this year, the team also won their league as well as the Aitken and Boden B-division, where they beat Hoërskool Monument.
This is a first for any Linden team and it will rightfully be remembered for a long time to come. The team, which is coached by Leon Keulder, was said to have worked hard throughout the season and has gone on to prove themselves worthy of the title of champions.
The school is exceedingly proud of all their achievements as well as the exceptional development of hockey as a sport at Hoërskool Linden. It has been a memorable season, one that will surely keep and build momentum for the team staff and players, for years to come.
