Northcliff High girl is a rising talent on the track

Chloe Stuart is making strides in the motorsport scene, burning rubber as the newest development driver for Pablo Clark BMW.

Northcliff High’s rising motorsport star Chloe Stuart is continuing to make waves in the racing world. The talented young driver has recently signed as an official Pablo Clark Racing BMW development driver in the Saloon Car M Performance Division, marking a major milestone in her fast-accelerating career.

Chloe made her debut with the professional team this past weekend at Kyalami, where she impressed onlookers with her performance behind the wheel of her new BMW. Representing her new team, Chloe delivered a composed and confident drive, showing that she belongs among the best.

She currently races BMW, Formula Vee single seater, and KZ2 shifter karting. “KZ2 shifter is the closest feeling to Formula 1 – they’re the same karts the current F1 drivers practice in, when not on the track.”

Chloe Stuart, of Northcliff High, is driven for success in motorsport.

When asked what first drew her to the world of motorsport, Chloe smiled and shared: “It has always been my passion. The only toy I would play with, as a toddler, was my ride-on car, and by the time I was seven, I was already asking to go ride on the track.”

Her journey since then has been nothing short of remarkable. She holds the title of youngest-ever Formula Vee Rookie Champion, and is the first female champion in the category since the legendary Judy Charlton (Witter) in 1973, but for Chloe; it’s not just about the accolades.

“My greatest achievement, other than the championship titles, is my consistent improvement over the years,” she explained. “How my love and passion for motorsport continually keeps growing on a deeper level.”

Chloe is quick to give credit to those who have helped pave her way. “I owe everything to my dad for his support,” she said. “He’s been by my side since day one, and none of this would be possible without him.”

Signing with Pablo Clark Racing BMW marks a dream come true. “It honestly feels surreal. This is a dream come true, and I’m so grateful for the opportunity to grow with such a prestigious team.”

Chloe’s ambitions are very clear: Reach an international level and represent her country overseas, but her journey, thus far, hasn’t been without its challenges. “Being a female in a male-dominated sport hasn’t always been easy,” she admitted. “I’ve been treated differently because of it, but it’s only made me more determined to prove myself.”

The lessons she’s learned on the track have shaped her, not just as a racer, but as a person. “I’ve learned that aggressive isn’t always fastest, and that a race is not won at the start. Patience and precision are everything.”

When it comes to getting in the zone before a race, Chloe has a unique ritual. “I always sing a song in my helmet – either We’re Gonna Win by Bryan Adams or Hall of Fame by The Script and Will.i.am. It helps me focus and reminds me why I’m here.”

With her talent, determination, and drive, the checkered flag is only the start of what promises to be a remarkable journey in motorsport for Chloe.
