The evening, which had sounds of laughter and violins echo through Northcliff also featured live painters whose artworks were bid on at the end of the evening, with the proceeds of which going back to the learners.
Powell-Venter said through art and design, learners gain more than just technical skills. They develop a creative mindset and resilience as they explore different mediums and expressive possibilities. “This process helps foster problem-solving skills, boosts confidence, and provides a means for emotional expression – essential components of a holistic education. This exhibition demonstrates how the arts and design studies enriches students’ experiences, encouraging them to push boundaries and express themselves in original and impactful ways.”
