In a thrilling home match, Roosevelt High Schools girls’ soccer team showcased their offensive firepower and teamwork in a decisive 5–1 win against Allen Glen High School.

The Roosevelt High School girls’ soccer team showcased their offensive prowess and defensive resilience in a commanding 5–1 victory against Allen Glen High School on Tuesday afternoon.

Held on their home turf, the match was a thrilling display of skill and a one-sided affair for the Roosevelt squad. The game began at a measured pace, with both teams demonstrating strong offensive strategies but struggling to find the back of the net.

Just before half-time, Roosevelt broke the deadlock. Midfielder Tamia Parks orchestrated the play with a perfectly placed through ball during a corner kick, setting up striker Thembelihle Motshegoa for a clinical finish that sent the Roosevelt team into the break with a 1–0 lead.

The second half saw a dramatic shift in momentum as Allen Glen’s midfielder quickly equalised with a spectacular goal that sliced through Roosevelt’s defense making it 1-1. However, the goal only fueled Roosevelt’s offensive fire.
