Johannesburg speaks out.

Curious about the publics perception of Johannesburg’s mayor, we have gone straight to the source, interviewing residents to find out if they are happy with the current leadership.

Johannesburg, the vibrant economic hub of South Africa, stands as a testament to the dreams and aspirations of its citizens. As the city continues to evolve, the role of its mayor becomes increasingly important. Seeking to capture public sentiment, we took to the streets to engage with residents from different walks of life to gauge their satisfaction with the mayor’s performance.

Here is what they had to say:

Ledoza Labas: I do not know who the mayor is. However, I think that there needs to be a lot of improvement in the City of Johannesburg
Treasure Mkwebula: With the mayor, nothing has changed, and it is still the same. Everything is getting far worse, and he has not fixed anything.
Robert Laing: I am not happy with the mayor. The rates are completely unrealistic, and we need somebody who is more accountable in Johannesburg.
Kenwood Phiri: I do not even know who the mayor is, but it is obvious that they have not been doing a good job, because not much has improved.
