However, this hard-fought win caused Spare Me! to drop to the fourth spot in the year’s rankings. On the other hand, Strike Force, previously in fourth place, emerged triumphant with a 24/16 win, propelling them into third place. Muller’s outstanding performance contributed to Strike Force’s victory, overshadowing the impressive efforts of Gys Brits, bowler #1 for the opposing team, who managed a commendable score of 247 in the last game. Bowling Thunder, unfortunately, faced a tough defeat at the hands of the Ballbarians.

Adding to the challenge, the Ballbarians fielded a substitute bowler, Charlene Vergote, from Eastern Gauteng. Vergote’s exceptional performance in the second game, where she scored an impressive 220, played a crucial role in securing a convincing victory for the Ballbarians, who finished with a score of 37/3.

Overall, the evening was filled with excitement and tension as friends turned into fierce competitors. While camaraderie prevails among the bowlers, the thrill of a competitive match is unmatched.

Andrew Strydom also showcased his bowling prowess, achieving an impressive scratch average of 211. Despite his outstanding performance, Strydom’s team faced a formidable opponent, resulting in a close loss of 18/22. Nevertheless, Strydom’s remarkable display deserves recognition.
