At the President’s Cup, she placed first, twice, in the 1m – a section that had about 35 competitors. It was her first time competing in the FEI that had 45 other competitors.
“I had two rounds – in my first round, I made a rider’s error so got four faults. My second round was amazing but I placed 20 due to my faults in the first round, but it was a great learning experience and I am excited and ready for the next one.”

To prepare for such competitions, Forsyth shared that a lot of hard work and dedication goes in. She rides her horse, Abydos, six times a week and has two lesson a week with him with her coach Tasmin Maher. Together they practise the courses at the yard and work on areas that she needs to focus on. “I also need to make sure my horse feels and looks good before the show,” said Forsyth.

For her, learning from her mistakes and areas she can improve on, makes her better in each competition.
