Zinhle Mdluli: I would ensure that every child, regardless of who they are, has access to basic education. By increasing funding for schools, investing in teacher training, and integrating technology into classrooms, we can create an environment where every student can thrive and achieve their full potential.

Maryam Hajee: If I were president I would tackle corruption by implementing measures to reduce it. I believe that corruption is a major obstacle to progress, and it undermines the trust citizens have in the government. To address health challenges, I would increase funding for public health services and introduce policies aimed at reducing the burden of non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. Regarding education, I would work to provide equal opportunities for quality educa

Kelsey Schroder: There are so many obvious things people would choose like: ‘No load-shedding’ or ‘No water cuts’. Or even something bigger like ‘No more climate change’ or ‘No more starving people’. But to say something like that is hard. Because you are only one person. You need realistic expectations. You cannot get rid of climate change as one person. You need to start with the smaller things. Things I would change is: load-shedding. You cannot get rid of it in one day, but you could refuse

Diana Mitchell: If I were president, I would focus on making some important changes. First, I would work on improving education so that every child, no matter where they are from, gets a great education. Education is important for everyone’s future. Next, I would push for using more clean energy like solar power to help protect our planet. Taking care of the environment is crucial for our well-being. I would also try and spend the money that people pay the government on crucial stuff like fixing

India Taylor: I think the main goal I would have would be to improve quality of life for all South Africans. Due to the Group Areas Act of 1950, many people were forced to live in smaller houses or even shacks. After apartheid ended and this law was abolished many people were promised houses by the government. While many houses have been built there are still a lot of people without a proper home which is completely unfair. My goal would be to find weak points in our country like this one and tr

Sahlah Tikly: If I had the opportunity and privilege to make an effective, and positive impact, I would solve the problems of the average South African, rather than paying certain members of the corrupt government. Instead of being selfish and taking taxpayers’ money, I would use it to make a difference. I would also re-hire qualified people to fill the positions in the government, and tax those that live in South Africa, but are not necessary native or born here. I would find resolutions to bas

Bokang Wilkinson: If I were a president, there would be many things I would change. One of the first things I would change would be how many people are currently unemployed, and how many households do not have a livable income. The next thing I would change would be the quality of education. There is a countless number of schools that do not have the resources necessary for a decent education. Many schools also do not have qualified teachers, so I would create more teaching courses in the various
