Rahima Moosa celebrates World Prematurity Day

The mother and child hospital once again celebrated World Prematurity Day with a number of patients.

Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital observed World Prematurity Day on November 16.

World Prematurity Day is celebrated annually on November 17 to raise global awareness of the challenges women and babies face, associated with preterm birth. The day also celebrates the lives of preterm babies.

Preterm mothers from the wards and the Rahima Moosa staff celebrated the day together with the medical staff giving the mothers advice on how to best take care of their preterm babies and themselves.

The global theme for this year’s Prematurity Day was – ‘small actions – big impact’. Preterm mothers from the wards were showered with gifts and love.
The hospital thanked RCA, SSMtembu, Class Three Medial, Ashraful Aid, Mini Miracle. R.A.R.E., Fresnuus, Nutricia, Future Life, Knotty Knutter Knitters and C.A.S for sponsoring the event and making sure that it was a great success.
