Another fire at a hijacked building in Marshalltown

The fire started on the ground floor where tenants have built shacks inside the building.

The City of Joburg’s Emergency Services (EMS) responded to a fire incident call at a three-storey hijacked building in Marshalltown, Johannesburg on September 15.

According to Xolile Khumalo, the media liaison officer for EMS, they received the call just before 10:00. “The building is not too far from the first fire that took place two weeks ago(August 31) that claimed over 70 lives.”
