Local art school let mothers and children spend the morning together creating unique art pieces.

Did you know the celebration of mothers can also be through canvas, paint and sloths?

Well, at least at the Lillian Gray School of Fine Art it can. The art school recently hosted a morning that saw the celebration of mothers. Together with their children, a few local moms brought cute life to a plain canvas as they each depicted a sloth family.

Art teacher, Jemma Sander, said it was decided that sloths would be painted as not only are they adorable, but they mostly chose animals to paint at such events. “The mommy is always so protective of her baby and would protect it always.”

Sander said the day also served as an awesome way for mothers to make special memories with their children.
