This year big school is starting and it is a place for you to learn and shine brightly. It will be a magical place where you can go on different adventures both with your friends and inside books. Your classroom is a place where your imagination can go wild and lots of questions and answers will be uncovered and studied. The world will slowly unravel and start to show you all of its magical secrets. I wish you all the best of luc
It’s finally 2023, and the hopes that come it with are top of mind.
Nothing shouts newness much like the pitter-patter of little feet, none cuter than those of RR, R and Grade 1 learners of 2023.
To make sure they are ready for the bold new year ahead, the outgoing Class of 2022 matrics of De La Salle Holy Cross College, many of whom started at the school in Grade RR, shared some words of encouragement.
Here is what they had to say…
PAIGE MACKENZIE: Be sure to try new things, and never be scared to do something you enjoy or are excited about, even if others don’t find it as exciting. Convince your friends to join marimbas, cycling, cheerleading, inter-house plays, and more, and do it together, even if it’s just for one practice. Discover your possible interests and make memories you will enjoy looking back on rather than having regrets, always wondering what something could have been like.
RYAN FALLON: As my time at school comes to an end, yours is only just beginning. You are all preparing yourselves for 12 years full of joy and excitement but most importantly fun. I know it sounds strange to say, but your time at school can actually be fun. For me, it was not only a place to learn, but it is also a place to make great memories and wonderful friendships. However, make sure that you always listen to your teachers, work hard in class and always do your best.
