Zhazi Malope aims for the stars as he chases a dream of fame and fortune.
Northcliff High School matriculant Zhazi Malope writes about his hopes for a good year in 2023 to build on the successes he has had in his last one at school.
I really had a good year in matric; it was very cool. I grew so much as a person and have accomplished so much, but there was so much I didn’t get to do. I should have played more sport but I couldn’t do everything.
But I won’t lie, I’m really glad the exams and stress are behind me. I can now focus on following my dreams of creating beats [music] which I love and I hope others will love too.
I’m not going to formally study next year but will rather immediately start working to enable me to get into and make music and create music videos. I am really lucky to have such supportive parents who encourage me all the time and always have my back.
