Throughout the league this team qualified for the Golden Lions Finals in their division. Leading up to these finals they also beat Hoërskool Randburg 21–18 at the annual FNB Classic Clash.

The Golden Lions Final took place at Randfontein Rugby Club on July 23, which once again saw the team claim victory by a margin of 17–15 against the U16’s of Hoërskool Riebeeckrand, securing the sought-after title of Golden Lions Winners.

According to SA School Sports, these U16’s are currently ranked in the 38th position nationwide. They also recently took part in the Noordvaal quarter-finals where they beat Hoërskool Stoffberg in play-offs, and will soon face Hoërskool Brits on their home turf.

The school’s head of sport Rúan Basson said, “We’re exceptionally proud of the boys and their coaches Jaco Booysen and Jaco Swart. The way in which they’ve represented Linden and the prospects for Linden’s rugby future is truly exciting. We’re looking forward to what the future holds, not only for this team but also for the schools’ rugby as a whole.”
