Young stars learn European soccer skills

Evo Soccer teaches European soccer play to young Kasi soccer players.

EvoSoccer Academy welcomes future soccer stars from all walks of life.

The football club trains young soccer players from the age of 13 and hosts coaches from the United Kingdom to teach the European soccer style.

The director of EvoSoccer United Kingdom, Dean Mabson said, “We are here to educate, share best practices, and learn from our colleagues and our students in South Africa and give them the opportunity to be able to assess, track and measure their own development.

“It’s not just about coming to the football club to play football, it’s about giving them the education that they can then take away once we leave South Africa, and they have got this information as education and use themselves to pass on to their teammates, clubs and anyone they come across.”

Rob Sinclair, the director of the academy in South Africa said, “EvoSoccer started for the development of football in South Africa. We want to take them from just playing ‘kasi’ soccer to teaching them European soccer skills.”

EvoSoccer ambassadors, former Bafana Bafana player Siyabonga Nkosi, and former Sundowns players Manqoba Ngwenya and Eric Ramasike, also attended the training sessions to impart their knowledge.
