Elections for Linden CPF Exco to take place

The community is called to nominate themselves or someone they know would make for a great candidate.

The Linden CPF Exco elections will take place on July 26 and should you think you or someone you know would be a great addition to form part of this community organisation then put yourself or them up for nomination.

The last elections took place in 2017 and, as per Gauteng CPF constitution, fresh elections are to be held every five years. Nomination forms are available on the Linden CPF website as well as at the station.

According to Annelize Tichauer, a member of the CPF, the nominations are open to anyone who does not have a criminal record and who lives, works or owns a business in the Linden precinct who can step up to serve their community by completing a nomination form signed/co signed by nominator and seconder. This form, which can be submitted to the station commander’s office, needs to be accompanied with the fingerprints, copy of a South African ID and proof of residents.

She added the election process will be overseen by the Linden Station Commander, the Department of Community Safety and representatives of the Gauteng Provincial Community Police Board.

The community’s involvement within the Linden CPF, is not just limited to being part of the exco, as one can also be part of CPF Community in Blue patroller team, the sector sub forums, or the Linden Victim Support team.

Fingerprints at the Linden Police Station will be between 08:00 to 15:00. For more information email info@lindensaps.co.za
