Risidale prepares for the athletics term

Risidale Primary School learners prepare for term three athletics season.

While plenty of schools are preparing for the June school holidays, Risidale Primary School is preparing its learners for next term’s athletics season.

On June 22, Risidale Primary School held inter-house athletics to select learners who will represent the school to compete against other schools in Randburg.

“This is our first-ever inter-house since the outbreak of Covid-19 and we are happy and excited to get the learners back on track, as a child in a classroom is not the same as a child outside the classroom,” said teacher and athletics coordinator Lindiwe Mmekoa.

“We believe that we are set and ready to compete with other schools in Randburg. We will choose our top learners who will be able to represent us in the next term.”

The houses represented were Lourie, Flamingo, Oriole, and Kingfisher, with Flamingo coming out tops.
