Fairland rescue is helping the most vulnerable kittens survive and thrive

Please show your support for a charity that helps abandoned or neglected kittens that often need specialist care.

Kittens that have been dumped, or perhaps lost their mother, have a safe place to go in Fairland under the care of Lynette Nicholson who runs a small rescue for those too young to survive without specialist care.

She has been caring for critically ill kittens through her non-profit for over 10 years which she funds via her online shop that sells good used items donated to her by the community. No funds are used for anything other than veterinary care like inoculations and treatments for illness.

“Most of our patients need feeding by bottle every three hours when we first get them, and sometimes expensive, but necessary, vet interventions are needed before we can place them for responsible adopting.”

“Charlie was found abandoned in a field when he was no more than three weeks old while Raj was the only survivor in a litter of sick siblings, thankfully they are both thriving now.”

Her home is carefully set up with different areas being used for kittens depending on their age and condition. In a sunny bedroom, two of her youngest patients were being bottle fed a specialised milk formula during a visit by the Northcliff Melville Times.

In the room next door a few kittens were playfully running and playing with the plentiful toys available to them as they waited to be collected the next day after being successfully adopted.
