Jasin Gower was crowned king as he finished first followed by Ethan Claassen and TJ Fraser in second and third respectively.

The Gladiator LAN is an annual eSports event, hosted by Brandcliff House, where learners battle for supremacy in an old-school free-to-play first-person shooter. Participants were randomly divided into four groups during the initial stages of the competition. Each match comprised of three different free-for-all maps with a five-minute time limit. Match scores were combined, and players with the top four points moved on to the next stage of the competition. The top eight contestants battled it out in the final match, with the winner having the highest combined score across the three matches.

Principal of the school Jonathan Linde said this tournament was hosted to offer many of their learners a space and platform to unleash their gaming prowess. The tournament also allows the learners to engage and interact in a different space and has created new friendships and bonds across the school.

Brandcliff House thanked Comic Con Africa for supporting the tournament, sponsoring prizes and attending the finals. The learners were awarded for various achievements and were given Comic Con Africa T-shirts, caps, comic books and figurines as well as tickets to their event later this year. The Tough Brakes team and Cerberus Tactical Outfitters also sponsored customised tactical badges to all participants.
