Mandatory vaccinations fair?

AUCKLAND PARK – The Northcliff Melville Times asked locals if they thought the mandate was fair and this is what they had to say.

Universities are implementing mandatory vaccine policies, is it fair?

Many would argue that is their right to govern what is being put into their bodies.

Recently, University of Johannesburg is said to have implemented a mandatory vaccine policy for students. A few students protested against this policy but, what do others have to say about it? Is this mandate fair?

Here is what a few people had to say…

MOTLATSI MAILULA: I think vaccines shouldn’t be mandatory. Everyone has the right to do and put what they want in their bodies. Institutions need to accommodate people who are not considering getting the vaccine. Photo: Supplied
BROGAN LAMPRECHT: I do not think that mandatory vaccinations are fair at all, it is everybody’s choice to decide what they want in their bodies. Photo: Neo Phashe
NETHEZEKILE NYEMBE: I think this is unfair because there are a lot of fundamentals, a few of our human rights that are being infringed. The methods the institution are using are very invasive and excessive and I believe there are alternatives that are better. Photo: Neo Phashe
