Through it all Roosevelt High School still succeeds

ROOSEVELT – The school celebrated the success of their matric Class of 2021.

The matric results are out and Roosevelt High School are extremely proud of the work their Class of 2021 put in.

On the morning of January 21, the school held a special breakfast for the learners who had achieved three and more distinctions. It was at this celebratory gathering that the principal, Willie de Wet, expressed his sheer pride over the success of not only the few who gathered but the entire class too.

It is said that out of 75 districts in the country, the district the school falls under placed ninth and among the city’s various districts, the school’s district placed fourth.

At the function, he said the school was blessed to have the class as its learners. “No matter how motivated the staff was, it was always the learners who went the extra mile and today is proof of that.”
He said the learners’ accomplishments were very well deserved, with a plethora of distinctions achieved with some even attaining more than seven.

De Wet encouraged these now past learners to come back and pay the school a visit from time to time. Along with that, he wished them well for the coming years with hopes that all their dreams come true, having built a solid foundation in high school. “It is a tough world out there but, you have got it!”
