The Linden CPF needs your help

LINDEN – Nominations for the Linden Sector 4 sub forum will commence in late January.

The Linden CPF needs the community members of selected suburbs to come forward and be part of the change they want in their community.
The suburbs include Blackheath, Cresta, Darrenwood, Kelland, Windsor east and Windsor west.

Interim chairperson of the CPF Annelize Tichauer said the community, residents, organisations (including residents’ associations), street groups, body corporates of complexes, and business in these suburbs were needed to become involved in the Linden CPF as they established a Sector 4 Sub forum.

Nominations are open on January 13 and you can head to Linden SAPS front office or www.lindensaps co.za or sector4@lindensaps.co.za to get your nomination forms. These nominations are to be handed over to Captain Alex Vermaak of Linden Police Station. The nominations close on January 27.

Along with the nomination form, the person being nominated would need to bring with them the following supporting documents:
• Signed nomination form
• Certified copy of South African ID
• Proof of residence – Tenants are to supply an affidavit from the landlord confirming the lease together with the landlord’s proof of residence
• Police clearance – Fingerprints for police clearance (done at Linden SAPS, 8:00-15:00 Mon-Fri)

Once all supporting documents have been handed in, Linden SAPS will send all fingerprints for police clearance and verify ID and proof of residence and by February 8, a Sector 4 forum meeting with all candidates will take place. Candidates will meet at Linden SAPS in the hall and Covid-19 protocols will b observed.

The election process will be overseen by the Gauteng Provincial CPF Board and a representative from the office of the MEC for Community Safety. Once the new Sector 4 Sub forum has been constituted, a CPF Exco meeting will be held and the date for a special general meeting will be set.
