Collection drive for victims of Jeppestown fire

ROOSEVELT PARK – An appeal for blankets, bedding, household items, clothing, food and other necessities has been made, and a collection point has been set up in Roosevelt Park.

More than a thousand people have been left homeless following a fire at a building in Jeppestown on November 5.

According to Michael Sun on Facebook, the fire at the three storey building has left many homeless.

An appeal for blankets, bedding, household items, clothing, food and other necessities has been made, and a collection point has been set up at 107 Preller Drive, Roosevelt Park.

The collection drive will run on Saturday and Sunday (November 6 and 7), between 9am and 2pm. Anyone who would like to donate, can hoot at the gate and will be assisted.

SCP Security will then assist in the distribution of the donations.
