Roald Dahl Day at De La Salle Holy Cross College

VICTORY PARK – The junior school dressed up as some of the characters found in the authors books.

With books like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda, The BFG and The Witches, to name just a few, Roald Dahl wrote memorable stories that, to this day, leave children wanting more.

So it came as no surprise when children from De La Salle Holy Cross College decided they wanted to celebrate Roald Dahl.

To mark the Roald Dahl Day – celebrated on September 13, as the author was born on that date in 1916 – the junior school dressed up as some of the books’ characters.

What a vision it was to see all these storybook characters come to life right here, in our community, thanks to these young readers.
