Five facts about the SPAR Women’s Virtual Challenge

Are you ready for the SPAR Women’s Virtual Challenge? We give you a glimpse of the challenge #LiveLimitless

Runners, joggers and walkers are expected to be out in their numbers for this year’s SPAR Women’s Virtual Challenge on September 4.

It will be exciting when participants get to #LiveLimitless. The SPAR Women’s Virtual Challenge is a tribute to human ingenuity and an example of how we always find a way.

The success of the inaugural Virtual Challenge proved that it is possible to host a popular running event safely during a pandemic. With the virtual race, you decide your route, pace and whether you do it alone, with family, friends or neighbours.

We compiled the five facts about the race which you may need to know as you get ready for the challenge:

  • This is the second virtual challenge that initially started last year.
  • More than 50 000 people are expected to participate in this year’s challenge.
  • For the first time, the event will be celebrated nationally.
  • Entry fees will help the Petals Project donate packs of sanitary pads to underprivileged schoolgirls in different areas in the country.
  • Participants can visit the official race website, generate their own race number and finish line certificate, perfect for pre and post-race selfies.
