Which gates can pedestrians use to access Alberts Farm?

ALBERT'S FARM – Of the 12 gates that serve as entry points to the park, only eight are for pedestrians.

The fence at Alberts Farm Park has been up for some time now, giving a sense of security to those who frequently use the park and to those who have long awaited its presence.

It is important to note, however, that not all points of entry to the park will be open for pedestrians. Also, the park will only be open for use between sunrise and sunset.

According to Clive Maher of SCP Security, one of the organisations that holds keys to the property, the park has 12 gates, four of which are emergency gates. “These big gates are to allow for the entry of emergency vehicles,” he explained, adding these specific gates would remain closed until such a time when an emergency arose.

These gates are found along:

Maher said the other eight, which are pedestrian gates, were located around the park and would be open at sunrise and closed at sunset. He said City Parks had given SCP Security the authority to open the park between these times.

Though the signage with these times is not displayed for users of the park to take note of, it will soon be at all the various points of entry and it will reference the gate number you should use. Along with this Maher said there would also be information of number(s) to call should you find yourself locked in the park.
