Another delay in water return
JOBURG – Bulk supply to Johannesburg Waters Brixton, Crosby and Hursthill reservoirs continues to recover.

The residents of Northcliff, Fairlands, Berario, Blackheath, Valeriedene, Quellerina and parts of Weltevreden Park are once again without any water following a vandalism incident which took place on 1 June at about 6am.
According to Johannesburg Water (JW), one of their valves situated on the bulk water supply line which feeds their Corriemore and Fairlands reservoirs was vandalised.
A JW statement read, “We currently do not have the estimated time of completion from Rand Water as they are currently draining the line to assess the damage.”
Johannesburg Water said they would continue with their efforts to supply water to Helen Joseph Hospital and Rahima Moosa Mother and Child Hospital and the process to roll out water tanks to schools and affected communities throughout the day was currently underway. , “We can also confirm that the bulk supply to our Brixton, Crosby and Hurst Hill reservoirs continues to recover.”
