King David Primary School Victory Park celebrated Yom Yerushalayim.
According to the site, My Jewish Learning, it is said to commemorate the reunification of Jerusalem under Jewish sovereignty in 1967. It is celebrated on the 28th day of Iyar (six weeks after the Passover seder, one week before the eve of Shavuot).
On the day the school celebrated Yom Yerushalayim, there was a variety of different activities to mark the significance of the day in Jewish history. Nirvana Rogers, the school’s marketing officer, said the children enjoyed this special day with various activities like making the Kotel wall out of biscuits, colouring in each letter of the word Jerusalem on a wooden board and making badges as if they were in the army.
